Switch the calculator to degrees or radians mode

To switch from radians to degrees mode, follow these steps:

  1. Press Doc Icon.
  2. Select Settings & Status > Document Settings.
  3. In the Angle dropdown, select Radian or Degree.

Display the exact value of an angle in radians

Suppose you have to compute the exact value in radians of \( \sin^{-1}\left(\frac{1}{2}\right) \) on your calculator.

  1. Put your calculator in radians mode since you want the result in radians (see above).
  2. Write \( \sin^{-1}(1/2) \).
  3. Press Menu Icon, select Number > Convert to Decimal, and press Enter Icon.

Add degrees and radians

Suppose you have the following computation to perform:

\( 60^\circ + \frac{\pi}{2} \) rads, and you need the answer in radians.

  1. Put your calculator in radians mode since you want the result in radians (see above).
  2. Enter \( 60 \), then press question Icon and select degree Icon to access the units \( ^\circ \) (for degrees).
  3. Enter \( + \frac{\pi}{2} \).
  4. Press Menu Icon, select Number > Convert to Decimal, and press Enter Icon to convert the result into decimal form.
